Voluntary certification of teachers. The acceptance of applications is starting.
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia announces the acceptance of applications for voluntary certification of teachers in general education institutions until September 30, 2026. The process is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Government of the Republic of Armenia's decision 596-N dated April 28, 2022:

Regardless of the number of subjects taught, a teacher can submit a voluntary certification application for only one subject of their choice.

To submit a voluntary certification application, it is necessary to be registered and have an account on the my.emis.am platform. If the applicant does not yet have an account, they can use the guide to register, after which they need to log into the my.emis.am system with the credentials used for registration.

Teachers already working in schools have their accounts in the education management information system (my.emis.am). The username for teachers is the same as the username they use for the electronic register, meaning the same email address that the teacher uses to access the electronic register. If a teacher has forgotten their username or password, they can contact the school's information systems management specialist (operator).

Applications for voluntary certification can be submitted by:

· teachers teaching in schools,

· teachers on childcare leave for a child under three years old,

· individuals with professional education that meets the requirements of parts 1 and 2 of Article 26 of the "Law on General Education" who are not employed, as well as individuals with higher education in a related professional field,

· specialists teaching general education subjects in educational institutions implementing preliminary (vocational) and secondary vocational education programs,

· educators without higher education who have ceased their professional activity as per part 5 of Article 38 of the "Law on General Education," who must upload documents confirming their education, a certificate confirming their position as a teacher in a general education institution until 2023, or a work book (if available), and copies of legal acts regarding the termination of the employment contract,

· individuals defined in point 1.1 of part 2 of Article 26 of the "Law on General Education" (those with higher education in a related professional field) who also submit a university certificate regarding credits.
