The article titled "Features of the Investigation Tactics in Cases of Domestic and Family Violence in Armenia," authored by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, has been published in the July 2026 professional periodical of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP News, No. 101).
The Prosecutor General presents the legal regulations and investigative practices established in the Republic of Armenia regarding cases of domestic and family violence, as well as the approaches aimed at the effective implementation of criminal proceedings of this nature.
Anna Vardapetyan, addressing the legislative reforms carried out in recent years, outlines the main characteristics of a unified investigative practice in cases of domestic and family violence, including the early assessment of the risks of violence recurrence, a victim-centered approach, the protection of the best interests of children, as well as the importance of effective evidence collection and coordinated cooperation among various state bodies.
