State accounting resources for AB projects will also be available to startups and specialists.

In Armenia, it is proposed to expand the scope of beneficiaries of the state support program for high-performance computing resources in the field of artificial intelligence by including startups, technology companies, and professionals with relevant education.

According to «Armenpress», the project developed by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry has been published on the unified website for the publication of legal acts.

The high-performance computing resources provided by the current program—working hours of graphic and central processors, operational memory, and data storage space—are used for the design, training, and deployment of artificial intelligence systems. If the changes are adopted, individuals studying at all levels of higher education, as well as professionals with higher or secondary vocational education, will be able to apply for the program. Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs may also participate in the program if they are startups and companies registered in Armenia in the last five years that are implementing innovative or technological projects. Support may be provided to those implementing projects in the fields of software, artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, cybersecurity, cloud and edge computing technologies, virtual and augmented reality, quantum technologies, advanced engineering, bioengineering, medical, space, and sustainable technologies.

The program's objectives will also include the development of deep-tech technologies, smart digital systems, prototyping, and embedded systems. The application process will be simplified.

Some of the applicant's personal, educational, registration, tax, and activity-related data will be automatically filled in from state information systems on the platform. Data for individuals will be obtained from the state population register and educational information systems, while data for companies will be sourced from the state register of legal entities and the systems of the State Revenue Committee. According to the justification, an agreement was signed in January 2026 between the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and Amazon Web Services for the purpose of implementing the program, which established the terms for the provision, payment, and accountability of computing services. Resources will be provided to beneficiaries in terms of GPU and CPU hours, memory, and data storage limits.

Mentoring support is also planned. The adoption of the project will not require additional financial resources from the state budget in 2026.
